They ask that motorists and pedestrians please stay away from areas that have sustained storm/tornado damage or have debris; the presence of “sightseeing” vehicles has been hampering cleanup efforts because the roadways get clogged, delaying EM efforts.
If you wish to volunteer to help with cleanup, please call 328-0943. EM noted that government workers are NOT allowed to enter private property unless there is an immediate emergency need, but volunteers working WITH government agencies are allowed to enter private property to help with cleanup.
If you or a loved one has assistance from a home health care organization or is on oxygen, please contact them if they have not already contacted you — they are doing their best to check on all patients, and make sure that those who need extra oxygen will have it.0
