A Columbus teenager was the victim of an alleged Monday hit and run. Alexis Brooks, 16, was struck by a car in her driveway at 1014 Moss St. The car allegedly left the scene and went to the Columbus Police Department
Lenora Byrd aka “Pig” allegedly was driving the car that struck Alexis.
“Lenora showed up and was asked to leave and became angry and backed down the road a bit and turned into the driveway quickly and hit Alexis before backing out,” said Alexis’ aunt, Mary Lee.
The altercation was over a guy named John Jones witnesses said.
Alexis was transported to Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle where she was treated for minor injuries.
“She was released later Monday,” Lee said on Tuesday. “She was bruised up. She didn’t have any broken bones.”
Lee said charges were pending against Pig.
