Fireworks On The Water
There is no better way to spend the Fourth of July than on a river bank watching fireworks. A family-friendly free event, Fireworks on the Water promises to be bigger and better this year.
Our hats are off to the CAFB, Columbus-Lowndes Convention and Visitors Bureau, WCBI and everyone that helped to make it happen.
It almost makes me miss “the good ol days” of Go Fourth. Almost.

If you haven’t seen the Grady Champion show, you will have two opportunities in the Friendly City. Grady will be performing at the Fireworks on the Water on Thursday and again at 12 Bar Lounge on Saturday. This is the show to see, folks. Grady is an electric, dynamic performer. If you can attend one of these performances but choose not to, then maybe you hate the blues? I, mean, come on y’all.
Commonly known as “John’s,” United Deli is Columbus’ both well known and best kept secret. Where do you start? There are so many great sandwiches and salads to choose from. Here are some Packet favorites: The Gyro (Colin), The French Dip (John) and The Italian Combo (Jeff). Plus, did we mention homemade bread AND crinkle-cut fries?
