When I was five, I watched “Godzilla vs. Mothra” for the first time, cementing my nightmares in the “giant monster is chasing me” realm for years to come. While there have been monster movies galore in recent decades, no one but Godzilla ever gave me that same rush…. until I watched Pacific Rim. Guillermo del Toro truly brings a new generation of giant monster flicks to life with his larger-than-life creature vs robot epic. With Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Charlie Day and Ron Perlman leading a passionate cast, this is truly one of the best movies in the last 15 years. (John)
Pacific Rim is now playing in 2D and 3D at Malco Theater. Go to www.malco.com for showtimes.
“Take Back The Night”
Justin Timberlake continues his decade-long hot streak with the first single from the upcoming “20/20 Experience Volume 2,” a Michael Jackson-esque dance number. Sure, you haters are going to hate because of his NSync background, but Timberlake is making making music worthy of Stevie Wonder’s “Songs In The Key Of Life.”
“Take Back The Night” available on iTunes

Patty Melt at Farmstead
Sure, Farmstead is known for it’s country cooking and homemade desserts, but they are also serving up one of the best burgers in town. Their version of the patty melt is served on grilled Texas toast with American cheese and bacon.
142 South McCrary Road, Columbus
While pretzels were once a not-so fun snack item served by grandparents that were out of orange marshmallow circus peanuts, they have recently made quite the comeback. With a pretzel burger at Wendy’s, just not the one on Highway 45, a pretzel dog at Sonic, the crunchy Bavarian snack is everywhere. Next thing you know, Krispy Kreme will be serving up a caramel donut with a chocolate filling and pretzels bits on top. Crazy!
Scratch And Sniff Here Comes Honey Boo Boo
“The strawberries taste like strawberries, the snozzberries taste like snozzberries and last night’s episode of TLC’s “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” smelled like Honey Poo Poo.
Bravo. Well done you curious meticulous scamps at TLC. Well done, indeed.
We can’t wait for next week’s Scratch N Sniff “Hoarders” on A&E.
