The future of a North Mississippi mugshot magazine remains a mystery after the publisher found himself locked up in the Lee County Jail alongside some of the very same young men and women his paper featured.
Jackie Derreberry, publisher of Jacked Magazine, 53, was processed into the Lee County Jail on May 31 on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a weapon by a felon and probation violation. Repeated attempts to contact Derreberry and his publication company have failed, as have email requests for information from his family members. Jacked Magazine disappeared from newsstands shortly after his arrest, and it appears the future of the publication looks bleak, as Derreberry remains in jail in lieu of a $100,000 bond. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office did not reply to two requests for information regarding his arrest.0
