Obituary for Clarice Ellis Farrish

Clarice Ellis Farrish, 74, passed away, on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Dugan Memorial Home, in West Point. Clarice Emilie Farrish was born December 23, 1937 in West Point, Mississippi to the late Louise Johann Ellis and Raymond Fuller Ellis. She had worked at the Mississippi Industry for the Blind for several years. Mrs. Farrish was a member of First Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Joy Seitz WMU Group. She was a graduate of Blue Mountain College. Clariece was a proud Mother and Grandmother. Clarice Ellis Farrish married Willie Elton Farrish on June 27, 1964, he preceded her in death on August 22, 1992.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 25, 2012, 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church with the Reverend Dale Funderburg officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery West Point, MS. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her son, Ray Farrish (Shawna) of Stockton, CA; two grandchildren; Jilliyn and Jack; her three brothers, Robert Ellis (Laura) of Castleberry, AL, Edwin Ellis (Diane) of Starkville, Henry Ellis (Patricia) of Fayetteville, NC, and her sister in law, Virginia Ellis of West Point. Her brother, John Ellis, preceded her in death.
Pallbearers will be Mark Cliett, Bobby Magers, Homer Dyer, Glen Brown, Pete O’Shea, and Dave Glasgow.
Honorary Pallbearers will be her resident friends at Dugan Memorial Home, members of the Ruth Sunday School Class and, her church family at First Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, P. O. Box 797, West Point, MS 39773.
Visitation will be Friday, 2:00 until 3;00 p.m.First Baptist Church.
