Two Sisters, 12 and 8, Found Alive
According to the Union County Sheriff’s Department, the search for kidnapper Adam Mayes, 35, came to an end on Highway 183 in Alpine, MS.
As officers closed in on Mayes and his two remaining captives, the kidnapper turned his gun on himself. He was found with one self inflicted gunshot wound to his head. He was taken to Baptist Hospital in Alpine, were he reportedly died from his wounds.

Later that afternoon, police announced they found two bodies in a shallow grave in the backyard of Mayes’ Alpine home. Those bodies were later confirmed to be those of Jo Ann, 31, and Adrienne Bain, 14.
Mayes’ wife, Teresa, was charged with two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of especially aggravated kidnapping. Adam Mayes’ mother, Mary Frances Mayes, has been charged with four counts of conspiracy to commit especially aggravated kidnapping. The two women were arrested Monday morning.

Good!
I’m glad the 2 girls were found alive. What would possess you to commit such a crime? Cowards sometimes kill themselves to avoid punishment or to die hos own way.
So glad that knuckle dragging oxygen thief killed himself. I wouldn’t want our tax dollars feeding him or paying his medical expenses for the rest of his stinking life! So thankful those children are alive. God bless them!

The whole crime spree makes absolutely no sense. Mayes did no harm to the Bain girls, thank you God for bringing them home safe! My prayers goes out to the Bains and Mayes families and friends. RIP Jo Ann and Adrienne.
This is the saddest thing ever! Those poor little girls are going to have to live with this nightmare for the rest of their lives. I can’t imagine the pain of losing a mother/sister that way.
