A constellation of news stars appeared Wednesday evening in Starkville for East Mississippi Community College’s annual StarStruck talent competition at Cowbells Sports Grill.
Thirteen contestants displayed their star power, but the country vocals of Kylee McMinn of Mathiston earned the night’s top award. Cody Harris of Columbus earned second with his R&B crooning and Cary Black of Noxubee County popped and locked his way to third place with a self-choreographed dance routine.
The contest was conceived and promoted by EMCC’s Business and Marketing students and judged by local industry professionals who selected the top three performances. The winners received cash prizes in the form of pre-paid Visa cards. First place took $125. Second place took $75 and third place took $50. 0
