Sunday night at about 9:30 p.m., a pair of men left Applebees on 45N by attempting to drive up the hill from the parking lot onto the highway. They were unsuccessful, and their truck, a Chevrolet was stuck in the mud and on the incline.
Officers on-scene noticed that the truck was never even put into 4-wheel drive while attempting to climb the hill.
When police arrived on the scene, they found the men, Charles Whitehead, 17, and Kenneth Reed, 16, drunk and resistant. Officer Oscar Lewis asked Reed if he had been drinking and the youth responded “Blow me.” The two wrestled as Reed became combative and was eventually tazed by Lewis. Whitehead also became combative at that time and also had to be tazed after yelling several obscinities, including “F*** the Police!”
Both were checked out by BMH-GT and were found unharmed by the incident. They were then arrested for disorderly conduct, public drunkenness, and simple assault on a police officer.0
