Late Night Home Invasion

Police were called to the 400 block of Eight Street South Saturday evening for a reported home invasion. Cole Little, 24, called E-911 at 10:21 pm telling dispatchers “Four black men wearing bandannas broke into the house.” Little then told dispatchers that the armed men were armed with a gun and “hit me across the back with a metal pipe” before taking his cell phone and running in an unknown direction. Little was calling from a neighbor’s house and claims the robbery happened “20 to 30 minutes ago.”
When Officer Mark Underwood arrived on scene Little told him that he had been asleep in his room when the four males broke into his house. The robbery victim shares the “Ghetto mansion” as it as known to locals with three roommates but Little was the only one home at the time. Little told Underwood that four black males entered his room and held a gun to the back of his head while he lay face down. He then claims one of the men asked “where’s the dope?” and then said “You going to remember the north side” before striking him repeatedly on the back with a metal pipe. Little claims the group then left the residence running in an unknown direction. He then told officers that he left the residence through his second story bedroom window instead of using the front or back door.
When the roommates and Investigator Shannon Cockrell arrived at the residence, the group walked through the home to ascertain what was missing. Roommates Shane Nimmo and Shane Reese both claim they had X-boxes stolen. Fellow housemate Brian Robbins claimed he had a pistol stolen but did not have any information on the weapon. The young men also claim “$360.00 of rent money” was stolen as well.
Officers canvassed the neighborhood for leads but as of press time, no subjects have been named in the investigation.
