Assault Victim Runs Mouth Straight to Jail

Columbus Police Officers David Hunt and Mosely, along with medical responders, were dispatched to the 2400 block of Alfalfa Ave just after 10:30 Saturday night for the vistim of an assault. At the location, they found Frankie Petty with a large bump on his head. The injury was bleeding slightly. Petty told officers that “Bubba did it”. Frankie said he was hit with some object, but could not tell the officers what. Petty was very hostile towards the responders and initially refused the ambulance that arrived for him. After threatening the officers with a lawsuit several times, Petty decided to go to the hospital to be checked out. Mosely followed the ambulance in case Petty started causing more problems.
Petty arrived at BMH-GT and received medical attention, but it wasn’t long before he started getting disruptive inside the emergency room. Officers Hunt and Lance Luckey were called to the ER to assist Mosely and Petty was placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct. This did not faze Petty, as he started telling the officers, “Disorderly Conduct? That’s alright, I’ll be back out tonight.”

[Packet readers may remember Petty from an incident in the early hours of July 9th, wherein Petty was allegedly beaten unconcious by two individuals on 7th Avenue North. Petty suffered a broken jaw in the fight, but his mouth was working fine Saturday night. – JD] 0

  1. Yes because 1. I would use someone who was “in the drunk tank with him” for a judge of character and 2. nothing says “good dude” like threatening the people trying to take care of you.

      You’re absolutely right Craig.

On another note. Did anyone read the footnote?
