Former Smithville High and Sulligent High coach Dwight Bowling pled guilty to 14 counts on Wednesday at Monroe County Circuit Court, including fondling, sexual battery, child exploitation and bribery of a witness.
Bowling had previously pled guilty in federal court for three charges related to the investigation. He will be sentenced at a later date for both local and federal charges.
District Attorney John Young is District 1 prosecutor and Larry Basham is representing Bowling for the defense. Bowling was arrested in September of 2010 in Mississippi.
