US Marshalls Nab Tupelo Murder Suspect

US Marshals Jeff Harris and David Criddle escort murder suspect Keith Lamont Darby to a waiting Lee County Sheriff's car at Hwy82 and 45 ALT Tuesday morning.

A Lee County murder suspect is behind bars after US Marshals and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigations officers located the man walking on Hwy82 between Starkville and Mathiston Tuesday morning. Keith Darby was transported to the intersection of Hwy82 and 45ALT where he was handed over to Lee County Deputies. On Tuesday, the Lee County Sheriff’s Department had received a 911 call from a witness that stated someone had been shot on Garrison street. The witness called from a store in Tupelo and stated the suspect forced her to take him to another location, but was able to get away from the suspect and that the victim was inside the residence on Garrison. Upon entry into the residence, officers found 23 yr old Shirley Morris had been shot and she was declared dead on arrival. Further investigation into the incident found that Morris and her boyfriend, Keith Darby, had been into an argument and that Darby had shot Morris. Darby then forced a female witness and her young child to drive him back to Greenwood, MS. The witness was able to escape with her child when Darby momentarily left the car at a gas station. Sources led the Mississippi Bureau of Investigations and US Marshals to the area where Darby was arrested. According to sources close to the investigation in Lee County, Darby was still carrying the gun used in the murder when apprehended. Darby faces one charge of murder, two counts of kidnapping and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. His previous conviction was for sexual battery in Leflore County, for which he served 8 years.

  1. You don’t want the Feds on you. They are not like the local cops, they make sure they have a case , and all their I’s are dotted and T’s are crossed before they arrest you. When those Eagle talons grab you, you are had.

Has anyone noticed the presence of more US Federal Marshals involved in the investigation and arrests of suspects charged in State crimes? It has been suggested that crimes involving felons possessing firearms allow the Federales a “foot in the door.”

I’ve always suspected that there is a “hidden agenda” to the everincreasing numbers of US Marshals present in our State. And there seems to be a push to recruit more officers into the US Marshals service.

A study by the Rand Corp. within months of then-presidential candidate Barack Obama’s call for a “national civilian security force” that would be as big and as well-funded as the half-trillion dollar U.S. military confirms that there are several ways to create the suggested “Stability Police Force” so that it legally could operate inside the U.S. borders.

One of the top recommendations in the report was that the capacity and management operations of the U.S. Marshals Service be beefed up and handed the assignment.

Given that it is unlikely that MPs [Military Police] would be permitted to perform civilian policing tasks in the United States, the Marshals Service, despite its capacity and management shortfalls, is the agency best suited to take on the SPF mission under the assumptions of this study.

The study was released in 2009, only months after Obama made his presidential campaign call for a civilian force as big and as costly as the U.S. military.

In a speech in Colorado Springs, Obama said, “We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we set. We’ve got have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.

WND reported when a copy of Obama’s Colorado Springs speech posted online apparently was edited to exclude Obama’s specific references to the new force.

They are not like the local cops, they make sure they have a case , and all their I’s are dotted and T’s are crossed.

And when all that fails, they just fabricate evidence and suborn witness testimony.

Remember the cases of Ernst Zundel,James Traficant, John Demjanjuk, Byron Beckwith, El Megrahi…?

The list just goes on and on.
