I knew Donnie well in the past having been friend and mentor. He was EMT at old CHI prior to LPN school when I worked in ER.. I just 2-3 days ago thought of Donnie and wondered where he was working having last seen him in ER at BMH/GT. He was good man and made good nurse. John Carver

Mr. Carver, I became friends with Don after meeting him in San Francisco in August 2010. We stayed in touch but he suddenly disappeared. I too was shocked and saddened to find his obit after trying to find him thru Google. Could you possible tell me what happened or tell me who could? Any help would be most appreciated. Thank you.

    Max,
Donnie basically passed from complications following surgery. He died on board a cruise ship just days after the surgery.

Thank you for answering so quickly. He was so healthy when I last saw him. Why did he have surgery? Again, many thanks for letting me know. I’ll miss him.
